We are here for the same reason that you are – lively, fresh, informative (and perhaps a little controversial) discussion, debate, and education on the Green Life.  And that involves being active participants in the forums and community sections of We’re Green.  And we are active in them – daily – and we know that you are as well.  We know that you dedicate hours upon hours a day (well, okay, maybe if you were Al Gore) to posting, reading, and debating here at We’re Green.  And that is super great – really.

We love all the great conversation that takes place between We’re Green Community Members – we love seeing and reading people helping each other out with questions, concerns, and other important tasks, and we love people who are willing their educated, informed, and lively beliefs and passions with the other members of the community.

And, as a thank you for your participation, and your part in helping We’re Green continue to grow each and every day, we are running a monthly Best Form Contributor Contest.

Who can enter?  Every single registered member of the We’re Green Community.

How do I enter?  Well, simply put – you post in the forums.  You ask questions, answer questions, help teach others about topics that you are experienced and educated in, and help keep the discussion on the boards lively, safe, free, and informative.  Yep, that’s right, we will automatically pick our Forum Contributor of the Month – each and every month.

How do we choose the winner?  Well – quite simply it is a long, lengthy, complicated process of reading the posts (which we do every day), listening to the community members and their praise of their community counterparts (which we do every day), and seeing who has had the best impact (positive of course) on the We’re Green Community.

Does the person who makes the most posts generally win?  No!  Of course, do not get us wrong – it could work out that way from time to time.  But, we look at much more than just who posts the most.  We take several factors into account, which include:

• Quantity of posts
• Quality of posts (how informative are your posts.  How effective are your posts.  Etc.)
• Community Orientated (how much do you help out your fellow community members when they ask for it, and when they don’t)
• Green Oriented (do you share a lot of your green living secrets, aspirations, and dreams with the community)
• And more

As you can see, a lot goes into determining who is the We’re Green Forum Contributor of the Month.  And, after all of that is said and done, we will take All of the Contributors of the Month and select a Contributor of the Year.

Are there prizes for being the Forum Contributor of the Month?  Of course.  Don’t contests have prizes?  We are pretty sure that they do – and even if we are wrong, we are still going to give out prizes anyway.  Each monthly winner will receive a cash, service, or product prize from We’re Green and our sister sites, partners, affiliates, and sponsors.  And, the Forum Contributor of the Year – they receive an even larger, even cooler, even greener prize than any.  How about that?  Get posting (and winning) today!
