Do you take pictures?  We do.  In fact, we love to take pictures, and spend a good portion of our time taking pictures.  It is a great way to reconnect with nature, the world around us, and the communities and people that make up our day to day lives.  And what do photographers love more than photographs?  Well, okay maybe not more than photographs, but pretty close – Photo Contests!  They are a great to showcase your work, see how talented other photographers around you are, and even win some great prizes along the way.

Who can enter the Monthly Photo Contest at We’re Green?  Well, everyone can (as long as they are a registered member of the community).

What subjects can we take pictures of?  Pretty much all subjects are fair game – as long as they are in some way related to Green Lifestyle that We’re Green and its community members live, promote and grow on a daily basis.  Here are a few image categories that we think make great entries for the We’re Green Monthly Photo Contest:

• Images of your newest (or oldest) renewable project or installation
• Images of Renewable Energy Systems – wind generators, solar panels, etc
• Images of Green events, concerts, gatherings and workshops
• Images of famous green buildings and places
• Images of nature – the last bastions of a green, eco-friendly world
• Images of green designs, fashions, etc

All images that are to be entered into the contest should be added to the We’re Green Community Gallery and named – with your username name, the month, the year, and main keyword.  Use the following example for help:

At the end of each month, we will select the winning image from all those that are posted as the We’re Green Photo of the Month.  And then, at the end of every year, all monthly winners will be voted on by the We’re Green Community, and a We’re Green Photo of the Year will be determined by the online vote.  Monthly and Annual winners will receive a cash, service, or product prize from We’re Green sister sites, sponsors, affiliates and/or partners.

• Period:  Monthly (all year)
• Copyright clearance and permission of any subjects (people, property, etc) are the responsibility of the photographer
• All copyrights are retained by the photographer
• We’re Green, its affiliates, sister sites, and partners reserve the right to use any submitted photographs in the future, for any and all purposes.  All other rights are retained by the photographer
• Winners will be notified as soon as possible after closing date of each monthly contest
• The judge’s decisions are final and cannot be challenged
• Service or Product prizes cannot be exchanged for cash
• No correspondence regarding entries will be entered upon
• This contest is presented by We’re Green, its partners, affiliates, sister sites, and sponsors
